Our History
Un héritage d’amour et de célébration depuis 1833
Riche de près de deux siècles d’histoire, Riverest se dresse fièrement sur les rives de la rivière des Outaouais, un lieu où le charme ancestral rencontre le romantisme moderne. Fondé en 1833, ce lieu historique a évolué depuis ses débuts pour devenir un lieu à couper le souffle pour des célébrations inoubliables.
Depuis des générations, ce lieu est le témoin d’histoires d’amour, de rassemblements familiaux et d’une tradition intemporelle de rapprochement. Depuis son ouverture en 2021, Riverest perpétue cet héritage, accueillant couples et invités pour profiter de ses vues imprenables sur la rivière, de ses jardins et de son atmosphère élégante, le tout imprégné des murmures de l’histoire.

Set against the scenic banks of the Ottawa River, Riverest is more than a venue—it’s a place where history, passion, and celebration intertwine. With roots tracing back to 1833, this property has stood as a witness to generations of love, milestones, and timeless gatherings.
In 2021, Riverest entered a new chapter when its owner transformed this historic family home into a restaurant, welcoming guests to experience its timeless charm through fine dining. Then, in 2024, its story evolved once more—when Natalie, the new owner and a seasoned event and wedding coordinator, discovered the estate and envisioned it as the perfect setting to bring dreams to life.
With a deep appreciation for both history and meaningful celebrations, she transformed this nearly 200-year-old property into a breathtaking venue, carefully curated to offer an unforgettable setting for weddings, corporate events, and special gatherings.
Today, Riverest continues to honor its past while embracing its future, blending historic elegance with modern romance. Whether hosting weddings, corporate events, or personal milestones, this space offers more than just a venue—it offers a connection to history, beautifully woven into every celebration held here.
